Have been through the carb, cleaned and rebuilt... Had running for awhile and has sat for a month... went from very hard to start to now, won't start. Getting fuel, plenty of squeeze and spark for days but will not start. Could carb passages and needles be worn enough to where this turd won't light? Should I just order a new carb and save the trouble and fight with the original?

Is the spark plug wet or dry after you crank?

Just because you have fuel in the carb and spark with the plug out in the atmosphere doesnt mean its happening under compression.

Is it a new and properly gapped plug, ignition timing correct? Fresh fuel?

I had a 140 that would crank well with good spark and fuel, but no start. Tuned out the plug was bad. Start cheap with a new plug and go from there.

If the plug is getting wet, why would you start with the carb? Its getting fuel but not igniting it...

Sure it could be way overfueling, but even then it would likely pop or sputter some.

wet plug means too much gas or flooded

I would shut off gas, cranks it a bit till dry

Pull card and check float level and float seat for wear

also do you have gas in your oil?
pull dipstick out and drop some oil on a paper towl, if it spreads fast then you have gas in it.
