Well, I thought I just had a loose steering box on my 330 but after getting into it I found all three holes extremely rounded out I mean like the bolts go though the plate. What options do I have..... What a pain...
Jay, I don't have a 330 so I don't know what the plate you are talking about is made of. If it is steel or aluminum, it can be welded closed and redrilled. That is one option.
Hi Jay, I rebuilt the steering box on my 316 a couple of years ago and it is the same setup on the 330. You have to remove a lot of stuff to get the steering box out (if needed). Are the holes in the frame plate what is worn and oversized (where bolts marked "A" are in the pic)? If so, could you just use some strong flat washers behind the bolt heads to tighten up the steering box?
