Hello to all,
I just signed up here looking for tips tricks and parts to keep my 1974 300 up and running. This mower was bought used by my father in 1977 and had served faithfully until I inherited it 8 years ago. From then on it was a yard mule til this spring when i bought my first acreage and now have 2 acres to mow. Just replaced the lovely fuel pump and deck bearings and just last night I mowed over my grill. So i just wanted to say Hi and share my workhorse with you..

A couple of years ago I did the same thing with my 318. I was mowing our 2 acres and the grill popped off and I mowed over it. There wasn't much left of it after that. Come to find out, the PO's step-son had hit a tree with it and the latch wasn't holding. I went on the classifieds and found one from another WFMer, bought it and this one stays put.

Welcome Mike. I thought you ran over the barbecue grill also. The grill on my 300 is loose, so its a good callout.
