Hydraulic couplers

I'm having a hell of a time trying to replace the coupler for the angle blade. I can't find the circlip. I kind of feel it but can't see it. What's the best practical way to remove it?
Thanks!
Henry.

On the floor, on your back, head under the front of the tractor, looking up and forward(where all the trash is that will be falling in your eyes).

Seriously they are just behind the black plate they penetrate. I used 90 degree snap ring pliers to get mine off. Mine were rusted bad in the socket because they had never been used and apparently never had plugs and never leaked enough fluid to protect them.

I think I actually had to break one snap ring that I could not swivel to get the pliers on. I would have some spares ready in case.
I really think you should use the retaining clips.

I have had a quick attach 46 blower come loose twice retained only by the hydraulic hoses. I am concerned what stress that would put on the piping under the tractor.
