Hydraulic couplers

I'm having a hell of a time trying to replace the coupler for the angle blade. I can't find the circlip. I kind of feel it but can't see it. What's the best practical way to remove it?

I had the same problem with the front couplers on my 140. Tried o rings no help replaced couplers leak stopped. I also used the 90 degree snap ring pliers, but I found that holes in the snap ring were very small. I had to file down the tips on my pliers to get them into the holes. When I replaced the couplers I replaced those snap rings with new ones that a standard set of pliers would fit. It was no fun getting them out.
