Now I know why the dipstick was getting pushed out. I just hope that there is not a lot of blow by. Looks like it was rebuilt with a 20 over piston in it.
Maybe with piston only .020 over you have some bore left in cylinder if needed. Check cylinder for wear and if it’s in spec, a set of new rings might eliminate blowby.
I know with my 69 140 sometimes when starting it up the dip stick will get blown out of the tube and onto the ground pick it up wipe it down and put back in and then it stay's in place and good to go.
I ordered a $15 gasket set so I think I will change the head, breather, carb, and oil pan gasket and see how she runs. It drove on/off the trailer and I drove it into my garage so it runs. Just not sure how well as it was dark when I got it.
