I do soil sampling in ag fields and I went to Kohler Farms yesterday.
They have a HUGE horse farm just outside Kohler. I was looking for someone important to see if I could get a warrenty motor for my KT17, but I didn't find anyone that could help.
I also went past the factory. That is a HUGE place, too! There was a really neat stone wall around most of it. It must have covered about six city blocks.
I just thought I would share this with someone who would appreciate it.

Harold - Same company, they make engines and toilets both. Don't know what the connection is. Guess I don't care to know either, but yeah, they do both. - Dave

Hi Justin,

I'll assume from your terminology "all-steel", that you desire a cab with steel framed doors and tempered glass---not flexible plastic. I have such a cab on my 455, which would be the same for your 425. It does have a plastic roof, however. My cab is a John Deere cab, model: TY24475 the actual manual that came with this cab was for a TYB2411, which appears to be identical with exception of flexible plastic doors in lieu of the steel frame doors with tempered glass.

I've seen the 425, 445, 455 tractors with a Cozy built cab, as well. I believe the Cozy cab also had steel framed doors with tempered glass windows. The cozy cabs were available with a coolant fed heater. The heater option was rather crude, in my opinion, as the heater hoses ran on the outside of the cab to the engine. I'd also be concerned about the extra electrical load of the heater blower motor(s). My 455 has a 20amp alternator, which is near maxed out with the lighting load of upgraded halogen lights, two forward lamps mounted on the top front of the cab, and a halogen rear facing lamp. I don't know, off-hand, the capacity of the alternator of a 425.

I hope this helps.
