Ordered front tires for my 445 off the internet. This is what showed up. In this the way tires are shipped? I suspect it's going to be a fight to get these tires mounted and under pressure. Anybody else get squished up tires like this?
Same here. I’ve done so many with ratchet straps and fought with them for hours. Finally tried some starting fluid as safely as I could on some difficult rear tractor tires and it seated instantly.Yep. I tried the tricks to get them mounted and finally gave up and used the carb-cleaner and torch method. BOOM! Instant bead lock. lol.
How much money did you save? All I do is let my local tire guys know what I want/need and I've never had an issue. How much could I have saved? Pace-car, I followed your advice and put tubes in. It was a chore but but all worked out well. Aired them up slowly, beads popped and tires are good to go.I've dealt with this before on other tires. I put a cheap tire tube in them and air it up slowly. Putting them in the sun or in front of a heat source usually does the trick. Please refrain from using ether (starting fluid) and a match to get it to mount. Hope this helps. Jim.
