JD 60 price?

Came across this JD 60. From the look of the photos it seems to not have a lot of rust. It has no motor. Seller said he would sell it for something over scrap. What would you pay for it? I have a JD 70 that I am looking to restore... but maybe if this is in good shape I can put the VH70 in this. Thoughts? Thanks!

Just so you know VH70s or V70s in running condition are just about impossible to find. I paid $100 for my 1973 70 with a sometimes running motor. It right now has a Briggs in it as it is more dependable but I will no longer be able to mow with it. I will eventually put the VH70 back into it. The first picture is how I bought it and the second is how it looks now. Roger

Thanks Roger. My question is what would be a fair price for the 60 with no motor? I have a running VH70 that I could use for it. Thanks
There is no way anyone but you can decide on a price. I was just giving you an example of what I paid. I looked at this one for about two years before the price got to where I wanted to buy it. Roger
I paid $60 for one in worse shape than that one. you are the only one in the end that it matters to on the cost

The way it sits I would give 50-75 bucks for it just to have around for the parts. I would give 100 for that pair in the picture. The craftsman next to it has a V70 or possibly a VH70, either way it is a donor motor for the Deere to come back to life. Good luck on the purchase and Im glad to see these saved and not junked out!
