Hi All

During the weekend, my JD140 H1 late model with 14Hp Kohler K321 stoped running.

I would run a little with help of "start gas" spray. So I concluded that it was a gas/carborator problem. So I took off the carborator took it apart and cleaned all. Mounted the cab again, and open the main noozle 2½ turn, but no start. When I opened 10-15 turns - and then it ran very unstable , with fire in the exhaust.

Have any one tried some thing similar ? The traktor ran very well before.

Best regards, Erik

If you pull the supply line off the carb do you have a good steady flow of fuel, not that the screen in the tank isnt plugged?

Also, check your points gap and timing, may have slipped.

Hi All

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes - there is a go fuel flow to the cab, when I remove the supply line at the cab.

The spark plug have a good spark. But how do I check that the timing is correct ?

The compression is good. How can I the easist check that the valve are ok ?

Best regards, Erik
