A true sign that you have your priorities straight...good times lie ahead.i could be doing worse thing with my time then working on old tractor
crazy spin to the 2 318 / 44 loader story guy calles me tells me he talked to previous owner that had both running and said the one with no pump ran of the tractor pump ....so he is going to talk to him again for more details ....i just picked up 2 john deere 318 both with 44 loaders a sweet 60 inch rear mount mower deck that runs of rear 2000 rpm pto older 60 inch deck with solid shoot hooks up to the 3 point hitch ....didnt know they made them for the loaders .....and a 30 inch rototill my queston is ..will the loader fit on my 420 i would have to go with differant pump i am sure i know the sub frame on the 430 is bigger ..
this 260 came with the 318 loader package new ...so it runs off the 2000 rpm pto .and 3 point hitchMy buddy has a 260 rear mower that came with his 650 tractor, so uses the 540rpm mower gearbox. All rusted out and done for but looks like it would have a good machine back in the day
LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT AVE FOUND A PUMP FROM THE IMFO YOU GAVE ME CHUCK ..FOR MY 430 / 44 LOADER SET UP PARKER D22AA1N075 LOOKS CLOSE ..THIS ONE HAS A 750 PSI RELIEF VALVEThe pump on the tiller is much different from the loader pump -- tiller pump is 9 GPM and 2000 PSI max. The loader pump is 5.25 GPM and rated at 1000 PSI as I recall.
The loader pump is part number PT9200 for the 318, 322, 332 and is a clockwise rotation. The loader pump for a 420 or 430 needs to be a counter-clockwise rotation and is part number PT9201.
And yes, the 260 rear grooming mower runs off the 2000 RPM gear reduction rear PTO/drive and can be used in conjunction with front attachments or the loader if mounted. Does the second 318 tractor in the pictures -- the one with the weight box -- have a rear PTO of any kind fitted to it? Can't really tell much from the pictures, but it does not appear to have a 3-pt on that one.

i will make my own ... thats not a problemif you found a pump, now try finding the support bracket for the pump
ya I’d be interested to take a ride down there as well, maybe do some horse trading 👍🏻Great finds Steve. Your collection is impressive.
Edit: this is your friend in RI you text with about JD finds. I still need to make it out your way to see this stuff in person. Maybe we can fix those suspension seats as we discussed.
