Would a john Deere 44 loader fit john Deere 140's?

Not with out mods to the subframe, and it would be way too heavy for that tractor.

I had a Johnson on my 140 and I really liked it, but without the power steering it became a bear to operate. So I sold the tractor, loader, another tractor and a 33 tiller and bought my 44 with the money.

Mike that was a nice looking 140.
I hope it went to a good home.

Kalin, I believe the smallest tractor I've seen with a 44 on was a 318.
In my opinion (FWIW) it looked big on that.
