As a retired person I can safely say that if I want something it is not too far away. If I really want it I go get it and do not like to use distance as an excuse. Last summer I wanted a 33 loader and drove from southwest Wisconsin to southwest Pennsylvania to get one. Visited family and friends along the way out and back. Enjoyable trip and I got what I wanted. Four days on the road.
When I make these road trips I try to post on this site where I am going and provide estimated time frame. Pennsylvania run I towed a 16' tandem axle trailer but if not needed trip is generally an 8' bed pickup. Only once has someone taken me up on my offer. Have you tried using the "Move It" forum to see if someone is headed your direction. It helps when posting this "to far" reason for members to know where you are from. General location is all that is necessary.
And yes I am a grumpy old fart. I am not intending to chew anyone out but am offering a helpful hint from someone who may be able to help you.
Edit: I do not do this for profit. Since I am making the trip anyway the cost of the trip is mine. My fee to you is pay me what you think it is worth.
It’s worth a drive but I’m not sure about a drive from GA! I’ve bought plenty of tractors and used uShip but this is so far it would be too expensive to still have gotten a good deal
