I was wondering where the correct linkages, and springs are available from?
I have tried John Deere, and no luck. I will take some posts from another one of my threads that will relate to this thread.

I got the linkage from a parts tractor at the local tractor salvage yard. I am not sure if it's available from JD. I doubt it, but it may be worth a try.

The old linkage I took off of a parts tractor in the local salvage yard has broken on me. and I looked on Jacks small engines for the parts, but there are so many variants for the VH-60.
I don't know which one is which, since the ID plate on my engine is painted over, and worn off. It is very hard to read the numbers. I ordered a manual for my 60, but it is still on back-order. I'll probably have to cancel it soon.
Does anyone know what the correct governor to carburetor linkages are, and the best place to get them?

I found parts on ebay. I also found parts on http://www.tecumsehpartstore.com/pages/oemparts#

I use that tecumseh link a LOT to look up the Tecumseh part number. Even if they don't have the part, having the number helps find it elsewhere.

Also, please e-mail me at [email protected] Since you are at Behrend, thought I would share some local stuff w/ you...

I found some parts there, but I can't get the correct governor link. I also found parts here http://www.jackssmallengines.com/Jacks-Parts-Lookup/Model-Diagram/tecumseh/139847/52772 but again, no luck.
Jesse,
Referring to the key numbers in the illustration below:

#8, JD M41819, Tecumseh 31823.
#12, JD M41820, Tecumseh 31361.
#13, JD M43520, Tecumseh 32582.

You should be able to order all of these using the Tecumseh part number from a Tecumseh parts supplier. I have ordered them in the past from http://outdoordistributors.com/parts.html

If you are still unsuccessful, go back to your JD dealer and ask them to order them for you from "The Parts Depot". They are showing some of both links in stock (under the JD part number) but you can not order direct from them, rather the order must be initiated from your dealer.

I found that with your numbers, all of these were available on amazon, and I will have them ordered tonight!!! Thanks so much!
