On the 140, what's the ideal spot to mount the Kirk Engines Point Saver?
I was going to mount mine on a bracket welded to the inside of the left hood upright, close to the points, when I read here somewhere that someone mounted theirs close to the timing port hole on the blower tin.
Can you really see the light go off when the marks line up to aid in timing? Any photos would be great.

I mounted mine on the hood support with two small bolts. It is mounted high enough for the bolts to be hidden when the hood is closed.
Yes, the light is easily visible for setting the points.

So Tom,when you say hood support, you mean
the dash tower in the back?
If so, then behind the engine nearer to the blower and timing rather than the front by the points and hood hinges like where I was thinking of originally mounting.
