Mowing with a 70

Greetings all.

I recently acquired a 70 in need of some serious work. I was wondering if anyone actually used a 70 to mow with? Don't know what to do with this tractor.

Not even sure if it runs yet. Time will tell.

I just got mine this fall and only mowed with it once. I thought it did great, although it wasn't that tough of a mowing job. It turns tighter than my 110 so was easier to maneuver. The only issue I could see with it is with just a 3-speed, the ground speed control isn't as variable as the 110 with a variator, so I don't have as many speed options to match to mowing conditions.

Iuse a 70 for the trim work and some smaller areas. they are a hoot to use

I mowed 18'' tall grass this weekend with mine it mowed great I was quit impressed with it.

hahaha. I have used a 70 since 2008 to mow my lawn. I'm not saying mine is in the best condition but all the way up on the deck isn't much different than #4. And it seems like #3-1 are the same height, and cut too low for my lawn. I thought about new front wheels taller and wider to help with stability. I'm having a hard time giving it up for a new tractor.
