Just about through with my 330. Got most of my decals put on yesterday and got the fenderpan, seat, and engine side panels put on today. All I like now is the decals for the hood and putting the headlight lens back in. I have already polished it up and it looks pretty good to be 28 years old.
Glad to be finishing up the tractor. Still have to do some work on the 30 hydro tiller. See pictures below.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped me in any way with this project.

Thank you Chuck. If you look back at the very first of my thread, you can see just how far it has come. This is my first attempt at restoring a lawn & garden tractor. It is certainly not a perfect job but is a long way from where I started.

Thanks Bob. It has been a while in getting it all together, but I am almost there. I used windex per JRL's idea for the hood insulation to put the decals on. It worked good. Gave me plenty of time to line up everything good and then just let it sit and dry. NOW, if I can just get those hood decals on right ! ! ! !

JRL,
Thanks for the kind words. And thank you again for the hood insulation kit that you made. It really does look so much better than what was left of the original piece of insulation.

I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. With the loss of most of my vision in my left eye and a bad floater in my right eye, it has been a challenge to get it to where it is now.

I just saw this thread, but I am loving it. I may have missed it somewhere, but how many hours on the tractor?

Nick, Thanks. The hour meter was not working on it when I bought it in July. It is showing about 2700 hours, but I wonder if someone left it switched on and ran the hours up on it. I have been working on it since last summer, but not everyday and often just a few hours now and then. Spent some times just looking at it and trying to figure out what I wanted to do next.

Jim, Thanks. It has turned out pretty good. (still say that being PICKY is a CURSE !!) It has been a pretty good job getting it to where it is now.

Probably will not be seeing it at the next Expo. Was really disappointed at the last one and they are moving it farther away from me. I doubt I will make it to the next one.

Chuck,
I took the dash panel with the switch decal on it to a guy here in town that makes signs. He took a picture of it and my serial # and made new ones for me. I had thought that the 332 would be just like the 330 until I checked on JD Parts. I was well pleased with both of the decals he made for me. I had to do a little trimming by hand, but it worked out.

Jon, that is a super nice looking 330 you have there. The hours on mine might be about right. Do not know how long the hour meter has been broken either.

Gary, as I stated above, I got a new one made. If you look back at the very first of my posts, you can see just how bad the original one was. The guy that made mine had a hard time finding the material to make it with. He called it metalized foil. It may not be quite as thick as the original, but I really like it anyway. I thought that it really finished the restoration off.
