There were once new decks available (BM17879), but they seem to be NLA. Is there a new part number? Or are new replacement decks truly not available any more.

I was going to retire my old girl, but can’t bring myself to do it. If I can’t get a new deck, I may do it anyway. Don’t really want to go with a “good enough” used one.

Can you get full spindle assemblies rather than rebuilding the spindles? Part number. I see spindle assemblies, but low confidence that they would be the correct ones.

Thanks for the responses. That 38” looks great and seems like it would be a good deal for the right buyer.

From JDparts-
For 46 & 50 decks - hub assy & spindle -
Center - AM32955 & AM39914.
Outer - AM30302 & AM39912.
You can also find new/nos, used, & rebuilt spindle assemblies from reputable sellers on ebay.

You can adapt that 200-series deck to fit a 318...I did so and put one under my 322. Those are good decks if you can live with 38-inch cut. I have one on my 212, 216 also...far superior to the shallow 3-blade deck, still use that now and then as a brush hog.

Any reason a nice used one wouldn't work? (It'll match the tractor better too.)

There was a fellow with a NOS newer style 48" deck on CL a few years ago, up by Cedar Rapids I think, it was pretty pricey (as it should be).

With as many of these as there are getting parted, finding a decent deck shouldn't be too bad. They aren't even too hard to service, if they need a little TLC.

I found a 50 on marketplace a couple years back from a local stripper (I've given him lot's of one dollars bills over the years...LOL)🤡

I have another deck that’s in better shape than the one I’m using. I’ve decided to try a rebuild on it. (Though I’d probably still buy a new one if I saw one not too far away.)

I am just outside of Jacksonville Fl and have a really nice 48” replacement deck for a 318. I wouldn’t let it go cheap though as I don’t know if I’d be able to find a better one. Still has some original powdercoat on the underside.
One spindle needed the top bearing replaced so I pulled all three to rebuild.
Not sure where you are located but if you’re interested I could send pictures.

Thomas that’s exactly how I price things. What would the cost be to replace. I have one 48” deck that I did the bearings on and I think I might try it instead of the 50” this year. I really like the new design with the greasable spindles. I also have another one I saved that had wet grass all caked into the mulching kit. Not sure how those kits work but I have enough problems with caked grass never mind a mulch kit.
