I am sure this question will gather lots of opinions but that is what is great about this forum.

The question is what filter do you use on the Yanmar diesel? why? Also comments on Oil also would be interesting.

I have been using the one from mother deere on my 330 but this winter deere hunting in the Carolinas I bought 2 JD332's to rebuild. Now that I have 3 in the herd price is a consideration.

Thanks, Dan

I use the Purolator Pure-One filter #PL14459. This is the cross reference for Deere's old filter for the 332 (#AM10378). The old Deere filter and the Purolator filter are a larger diameter than the filter Deere now specifies. With regard to oil filters, bigger is always better. A lot of companies are shrinking their oil filters and it annoys me to no end.

Dan, my new-to-me 330 got a JD filter and fill with Shell Rotella T 15W40. Around here, the choice of oil is a no-brainer, as I buy it in gallons for other engines, and it's pretty much "the standard" being used in diesel ag equipment, pickups, and over-the-road trucks here.

Scott, for consumables, all of the McParts stores have cross-references, by Deere number and/or by engine model. A quickie web search (I use Duckduckgo, not Google) will quickly give you crosses to Wix, Purolator, etc.

One consumable that I buy Deere-only is belts for Deere equipment. That's been discussed on this forum time and time again.
