I have a lead on an original 3-point off of a 140 H3. It is in good shape and comes with everything I would need. What do these things usually go for? Is there anything about these that would make one more rare (worth more) than the other?

Thanks

Travis,
How bad do you want it?

If I had one to sell I'd be asking 300-500.00 depending on condition. If I really wanted one, I be willing to pay 300-500 depending on how bad I wanted it.

Welcome to the site.

In the future, we dont like answering these types of questions due to the huge variance in location, supply and your own desire to own one.

Dont forget you need the rear hydraulic lines and couplers, that can add quite a bit to the cost to install it if you dont get them.

Care to share the part numbers/sources? Deere wants like 15 bucks a piece for the tee's, rubber lines custom made are probably 15 each, the bracket that holds the couplers to the back is aftermarket and cost money. I have couplers, but need all the other stuff.

Don't know if there are aftermarket 3 point hitches for the 140 thru 317 closed frame tractors.
There are definitely a few homemade ones out there.
Here are a couple photos of my later version factory JD 3 point hitch.
Some of the early 140 hitches did NOT have the notch required for the right side of the later model tractors.
The notched part is visible where it mounts to the tractor in my first photo.
The later version hitch will fit all the 140-317 closed frame tractors.

I think Rugg listed one available on their website but I have never seen any picturs of it. And there are some dimensions of a hitche in the WFM files section, that is SIMILAR but not IDENTICAL to a JD one. From 10' away may not know the difference but a lot of the dimensions are different.

Check pictures of several you see online vs yours, like Doug said there arent many if any aftermarkets out there so most examples you would find online would be original deere issued ones.
