Sounds great on the install. Did you take any pictures?

I did and intended to take plenty. I looked at them and have a half dozen of the box. Then I got caught up in the install and did not get any that show anything meaningful.

Shady, Sorry I just noticed your thread. I completed my 318 repower on January 1. Please let me know if i can help. I can help you with the wiring if you need. I had no trouble with mine. There are a few changes I needed to make. I saw your muffler didn't fit. I adapted the Onan muffler to fit under the hood (pain in the neck). I posted on Dennis' thread on what I plan to do for the PTO clutch.

Since the Predator 670 has a 1" bore, would it be possible to use a similar PTO instead of using an adapter?

SEW includes a 1" PTO on their Vanguard kit for the JD 318. I do not know the brand but it seems to work without problems at least for mowing.

I plan to use a JD 317 PTO which is 1" on a Predator 670.

can you tell us what you used for mounting the motor? I'm wondering if it's a simple plate or if it entailed more than that.

I saw your muffler didn't fit. I adapted the Onan muffler to fit under the hood (pain in the neck).

I had already acquired a Honda muffler before Denis said they wouldn't fit. And he was right. Since I don't weld what would be the less expensive way to get a quiet muffler under the hood?
1) Cut, re size, and lower the Predator muffler.
2) Adapt the Onan muffler.
3) Cut and adapt the pipes of the SEW Honda Kit Muffler.
4) Something Else.

You can probably use the manifolds from the Predator engine and adapt them to the onan muffler. I made new manifolds but that may not be necessary. Then you would only need to weld the manifold or maybe even use some kind of flex pipe

I just made new manifolds that fit my stock kohler muffler and it works fine. The only problem I have is when I shut it off it backfires sometimes
