Changing oil and cleaning up the drain plug and noticed it had a small rubber gasket in addition to the metal washer. Is that normal? Rubber in bad shape so wanted to check before I look for a replacement rubber gasket. Should I replace the metal washer each time as well? Should I be putting in an improved style plug ?

There is no rubber gasket called out in the factory Parts Catalog PC2139...but that metal washer looks a bit oversize to me.

I agree - I will get a new washer only - this plug may have been changed in the past and they put in one with the rubber washer.
