This part from John Deere, part number BG20627,for "L" and "LA" series etc, measures perfectly to fit on the rear of a RF. Some grinding and two 5/8" holes drilled so it can be bolted to hitch. Was a relatively cheap and easy way for me to add two weights.

I forgot to take a pic of the underside. Will upload one shortly, I plan to leave the bracket on all the time,(although it can be removed in minutes) and bolt a drawbar hitch to the underside. Stay tuned.

Finally got around to getting pictures of the bottom side and how it's mounted to the hitch. I plan to get a piece of flat stock, (maybe 1/2" thick will be good enough?) and bolt it on the bottom side for a drawbar. The bolts are metric 16mm which is close to 5/8" with serrated flange lock. The tractor hasn't moved since I put the bracket on, so I don't know where that crud on the bottom side came from!

Ordered part number BG20627 weight bracket for "L" series lawn tractors,(LA135 145, L120 etc),63 dollars here in Canada, I would imagine much cheaper in USA. I cut the lower mounting tabs off flush so the bottom is straight across. I drilled two holes in my hitch at the top for self tapping screws (3/8"X1"). (I cringed to do this to my 112 as this is the first non original thing that has EVER been done to it)

After mounting with two self tappers I lifted tractor and traced the two holes existing in hitch onto the bracket. removed bracket, drilled 5/8" holes and got some grade 8 (metric 10.9) with serrated lockers 16mmx50mm . Like I said, I hated to drill into it, but last winter was pretty harsh here, and I needed little more weight to supplement the wheel weights and chains, so I tied the 40lb suitcase weights to the seat spring for a quick fix! This year I thought I better do something more professional! Pic shows the three tabs that I cut off. I was a little concerned by supporting 80lbs of weight with the 3/8" self tappers, but by tightening the larger metric bolts in hitch first allows almost all of the weight to be carried by the bottom portion, hardly any pull on the top two straps
