My friend has a 90 322 and we believe the TDCM is the issue to his lack of PTO engagement after following the TSM. Would the TDCM of an 89 318 swap into a 90 322 without ussue? Trying to confirm the failure.

The swap worked and proved the other tdcm is dead, not sure why. What is the replacement cost of one of these units?

$500+ at dealer. $85-120 used on eBay.

Search for user name fuddyduddy.
He has recently repaired a few modules for members. Usually it's just a burnt diode.

The question is why did it get burned. Could be a problem in the tractor.

As Skiwrl mentioned they can be repaired. I know I toasted one of mine when I jumped something in the wiring. Best to have the wiring restored to original if anything’s been hacked and fuse protection in place. There’s a lot of juice going through the pto and I’m guessing through that particular piece in the tdcm, any spike and pooooffff!
