This is my first post so hello. I have a 65 rf 110. The transaxle is stuck in revers. I also have a spare transaxle that I plan to install. The hitch on the spare is pointed does that indicate the year it was made? Also can anyone point me in the direction of seals and gaskets for this rear end?

Tim it may mean a year but for what its worth all 4 speed transmissions from 1965 to 1987 will interchange. You might need to use the brake linkages and the shift lever for your year tractor. I think the pointed rear mounts started about 1966 and were used until the end. JD also made a pointed adapter you could put on a straight transmission mount. Welcome to WFM. Roger

Thanks Roger. Everything seems to line up. I was going to replace the seals as one side seems to leak and I also want to inspect it before bolting it back up. Do you know the advantage of the pointed hitch? I am undecided if I want to keep it original or add the pointed hitch.

I think the pointed was added as it got the attachment (cart for example) just a bit further back that allowed more clearance when cornering. Before you put it in make sure when you shift gears that they click securely into gear. If they go in easily or sloppy that means the dent springs are bad or going bad. That is usually the reason for transmission as your old one did going bad. Roger
