Has anyone successfully used a Walbro carb on a 14 or 16 HP Kohler engine? If so what did you do to make it run properly? Also, has anyone used a #26 Carter carb on a 14HP large valve Kohler engine successfully?

Some of the 14 hp's came with the Carter 26 is my understanding.
My 140 has a 30 but I bought one off of ePay that was on a K321 and it was a 26.
As for the Walbro,I think the general consensus is that no Walbro is a good Walbro.

AJ and Darrin,

Appreciate the responses. I read on Brian Miller's site that he used a 26 on a K321 for mowing. I'd email him but I understand He's moving so won't bother him right now. Had considered boring the 26 out but He says there's not enough material. Maybe I'll see if I can bore it out to the 28 specs and make my own throttle plate. Those 30's are going for big money on the ePay. I guess I just haven't got on at the right moment yet.

Hey guys, I just bought a $125.00 "rebuilt carb" from Brian Miller. I plainly said I wanted a Kohler carb and NOT a Walbro. They sent me a USED Walbro, not rebuilt, not even cleaned(dirt inside and out). So now I need to make a 90 mile trip to return the thing. MP

That is disappointing to hear.
I read on his site that he going through a move.
I tried a couple times to email him about a 30 carb and never got response.
I assume it is due to move.
Can't he just mail you one?
