On the pedestal right side of the 140, forward of the motion lever there are two key slots. Would someone fill me in what theses are used for?

Dom,

Those slots are for a mounting bracket on the chute control rod of a 49 blower. There are probably other attachments that make use of those that I am not aware of.

If the crook I bought my tractor from would have included the 49 thrower like we'd agreed on in the sale, I might not have had to ask. Sore subject.
