Hi guys!

There’s a 111 down the street from me, needs a fuel pump and a mow deck. The price is right, but I’m just wondering what deck could/would work.

Thank you,

The PC1669 for the 111 mower shows both a 30 inch and a 38 inch deck version... The 70 tractor had a horizontal crankshaft where as the 111 had a vertical shaft, so decks may be quite different.

Any idea on whether an old 38” deck for a JD 70 will fit a 111?
Thanks
The John Deere model 60, 70 and 100 lawn tractor used the model 34 rotary mower. The model 34 rotary mower will not fit the model 111 Lawn Tractor. The model 60, 70 and 100 lawn tractors were vertical crankshaft but the tractor frame & rotary mower geometry was significantly different which is why the model 34 rotary mower will not fit the later model lawn tractors.

The model 111, 116, 116H, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180 and 185 all could utilize the 38" mower (2 blade) AM105404. I would look for a 38" mower from one of these models for your 111. The model 111H and 112L also used the AM105404 mower but also required the AM103854 retro-fit kit. There were some changes made to this 38" mower series over the years but they should be interchangeable. Be advised the model 116, 116H, 180 and 185 could also have utilized a 46" mower (3 blade) but this larger mower was never listed for use on a model 111. The 30" mower (single blade) was standard for the model 108 and 130 lawn tractor models.

Wow thank you so much guys!!

I have a junk R70 that I’m about to throw away…it has the single blade 30” deck…sounds like I can use that until I find a 38”!

Its actually a pretty clean little mower, just pretty cheaply made, and I’m not very impressed with how it mows. I’m only planning on keeping the deck with belts, and the Briggs engine. I rebuilt the transmission several years ago.

what would you be looking for off of it?
