Was pulling the KT17 out of the 317 to carry out some other repairs, and when removing the fuel line from the mechanical pump managed to snap the hose bib/nipple (or whatever the correct term is) off on the input (my stupidity for not using the pocket knife I had in my pocket to cut it off). Looking at it and replacement pumps I have noticed that they aren’t part of the molding for the pump body, rather they snap in allowing for angle setting and choosing line size/angle. Which makes me wonder: a. Are the these little adapters removable? And b. Are these adapters available separately from a new pump? Or should I go and spent the $30 for a new pump and kick my self for my stupidity the whole time I’m installing it?
Here’s my one low quality photo of what I broke.
Here’s an Amazon listing that shows those little adapters: Amazon.com: Fuel Pump for Kohler Kohler KT17 KT19 M18 M20 MV16 MV18 MV20 Engine 52 559 03-S : Automotive
