Grease is leaking around the seals of the bearings in the clutch. It has gotten on the surfaces where the cone clutch halves mate and basically glued the two sides of the clutch together. Fixing is a matter of taking the clutch off the tractor and cleaning everything. Brake cleaner works good for this. You might want to look at the condition of the seals and replace if necessary. It also would be a good time to clean and grease the roller bearings in the clutch. There is also a ball bearing on the clutch that connects to the release lever and if that is starting to get loose I would replace that also. You are basically doing maintenance that should be done from time to time on the clutch and is seldom done. It not hard to do but a service manual might be helpful and a good investment. Roger
