Question about integral hitch. Who has one?

I’m building two integral hitches for my 110’s. I’ve got all the materials and blueprints. My question is about the part that the implement actually pins on to. How is the plate and tube attached to the main frame of the hitch? What are the two bolts use for that have welded nuts on the main frame for? I’ve circled the part I’m talking about in red I. The attached picture. Close up pictures and explanations would be great. Thank you!

The tube is welded to the hitch.

Some implements are needed to be rigid mounted. Like a cultivator for example, but others like a plow or disc harrow, need to move side to side. So those that need to me rigid, you tighten up those bolts to hold it tight.

If at some point you could take an up close picture or even a video of how the plate and tube are mounted and separate would be great. The plans I have show it’s a 1” outside diameter tube and the hole in the plate is also 1” so no room for movement. That’s what has me confused.

I think you misread the blueprint. The hole in the L plate is 1” from the bend, the hole in the plate is 1.12 or 1-1/8”.

you’re right I see that now about the hole size. Thank you. I guess since I don’t have any rear implements I can’t see how 1/8” of play is enough to allow the hitch to tighten up the implement but guess it must have to do with how the hitch on the implement side is made.
I’d still like to see an up close picture of that part of the hitch to make sure I’m setting it up right. Everything else is pretty straightforward and coming along nicely.
Thanks

So that plate is loose and only captured by the washer that’s welded to the top on the pin tube correct? Thank you

Ben
That’s correct. That way when you are using an implement that needs to sway, the plate lays against the hitch.
